From watching the Beatles play on the Ed Sullivan show and simialr attractions, Dennis became interested in music. At the age of nine, his mother was operating a restaurant at the bowling alley. She called Dennis and asked if he would like to start learning how to play guitar.
He began lessons and that sort of started the ball rolling. At the bowling alley there were opportunities to meet some bands and band members in the lounge. People like Wayne Cochran, a known jazz and blues musician was also a strong influence in his early days of music.
Dennis wrote his first song at the age of fifteen and continued to write music throughout the years to today. He sports around twenty-five that were "pretty good" and probably many more that were not considered as success oriented. In his later years of music John Prine became a major influence in the folk arena of Dennis's interest.
Now, at age fifty-two Dennis is sharing his life experiences with music in many areas.
